PIF monitor is a social network of doing acts of kindness. We combined technology, innovation, viral media and fun. It is based on the well-known concept of Pay-It-Forward. Instead of just Paying it forward and wondering if that person paid it forward, we allow you to track your chain of events, monitor what you started, and be responsible together with all members of your chain, to keep the chain moving. It creates a community within each chain you create. It can create a global community as one event leads to another event, and as one person pays it forward to the next.

There are many features that make this fun, inspirational, and give you a feeling of accomplishment. We have tree view, and map view (you can see the video above for a demo, or see a sample chain below). Map view is interactive maps feature that you can follow what happened in what part of the world. As you “Pay it forward”, you write a brief paragraph of how you paid it forward so others can follow along and rate your story, this allows others to see the amazing things that can happen from one small act of kindness. We have the ability to create multiple branches within a tree, by doing a new act of kindness to a new person, and you can monitor the two branches to see which one moves faster or extends further. You can post your profile so others in your chain can share or connect with you.

The marketplace is a barter section where people can give away stuff to people that need them. How many times have you had stuff to give away and you wished you could give it away because you knew someone out there will find value in it? So we created a flea market for random acts of kindness in the form of gifts, where you can give and take stuff that others have no use for anymore, from clothing to electronics, to any item that you think someone out there can find useful. You can also offer services in the marketplace and you are not limited to items. You can donate your time, your professional experience, or even advice. We are sure you have something to offer and we are sure there is someone out there that needs exactly what you have! We also added a twist to the marketplace. You can create stipulations in the gift. You can offer your item for free provided they start a chain, and the item gets released once the chain reaches a predetermined number of people. You can communicate with the owner of any item and work out a deal in good faith

We are random people that had an idea and made it happen. We do not want to attach anyone’s name to this project, nor do we want any publicity. The power of this concept is derived from its users and all credit belongs to you. The strength and responsibility of people in the chain is what drives the chains forward. We do not own this concept nor do we care if you copy us. In fact we encourage you to copy, duplicate, spread the word, and clone.
